Lara bay turtles conservation station
Lara is a part of Akamas Peninsula National Park, the biggest conservation park in Cyprus.
It is a large, uninhabited area, where building is not allowed. There are some very beautiful sandy beaches in the area of Lara, where the turtles come and lay their eggs. The purpose of the turtles' conservation station is to make sure that the nests with the eggs are protected from both humans and wild animals like foxes, which eat the eggs.
If you are lucky enough to be in the area when the turtles lay their eggs, or when little turtles are born, this is going to be something you will never forget.
