Stavros tis Psokas guest house / rest house / youth hostel

The guest house at Stavros tis Psokas is run by the Forest department itself. The guest house offers six rooms, each one of them with en suite bathroom and toilet. Each room is independent. The building of the guest house is of traditional style, built in 1947 and recently renovated.

Five of the rooms accommodate up to two persons, while the sixth room accommodates up to five persons. There is no air conditioning in the rooms but in the forest and at an altitude of 900 meters it is surely unnecessary, at least for most of the time. During the winter all rooms provide central heating.

In addition to the rooms of the guest house, there are also available for rent two wooden cabins. Each of them offers two rooms and provides accommodation for 4 persons in one double and two single beds.

There is a flat fee of Euro 14 per person per night of stay, for both the rooms and the wooden cabins. Children up to six years old stay free of charge in their parents' room. Children between the ages of six and twelve pay €7,00 per night of stay, provided that they stay in the same room as their parents.

Heating is available from November 1 until April 14. The cost per room is €7,00 per room. Cost is paid in advance at the Forest Station.
