Monasteries and churches in Paphos

When they left the Holy land to declare Christianity in the world, the first place that Saint Paul and Saint Barnabas the Apostles visited, was Paphos. Church of Paphos is the oldest Diocese of the world dating back to 50 AD. It was founded by Saint Paul himself. Thus, with a history of 2000 years, it is not strange that so many Christian religious monuments can be found in Paphos - and in Cyprus in general.

There are ancient Basilicas, from the beginning of Christianity, almost 2000 years old, nice monasteries more than 1000 years old, and churches also from the beginning of Christianity. A journey through the centuries that is well worth following.
